Hello all Nippers parents!

I hope you all had a cracker of a day at the kick-off of the 2020-21 season over the weekend! Feedback from the kids was really positive, and most seemed to have had a great time!

First things first: Nippers is a volunteer-run organisation, and we simply can’t operate without awesome people putting their hands up to help. Please, if you can spare your time and effort, help us out by volunteering as an Age Manager or Age Assistant.

For Day 2, there will be one minor change in Covid regulations. To balance beach safety versus Covid safety, we will be relaxing the “no parents on beach rule”. One parent per family can now go to the beach, but please remember to practice physical distancing, etc.

Once again, we’re going to have Big Brad on the barbie cooking up some killer snags, so please bring an appetite and a few bucks!

Again, the schedule will run basically as follows:

8:30am – Nippers desk will open for sale of merchandise
8:45am – Beach set up – please come down and help out!
9:00am – Age Manager briefing
9:20am – Nippers seated on the grass in their age groups & Morning address
9:30am – Nippers starts
10:45am – Nippers ends
11.00am – Off the beach

We may look at running some Proficiency swims at Merewether baths for those who need it on the morning – i’ll advise on this later in the week – please keep an eye on Team App.

If you were “recruited” as an Age Manager or Assistant over the weekend, please try to complete the online modules at https://members.sls.com.au/ and let us know if you need a hand.

Once again, we’re looking forward to a cracking second day of Nippers followed up by a barbie!
